Ceilings are an oft-neglected element of the home, but vital to interior design impact. Coffered ceilings are popular in homes with tall ceilings. Done well, they add elegance, style, structure and a near-sculptural decorative grace note to the home. Here are some samples of coffered ceilings we’ve built for clients, including one we just finished last week: a low-profile coffered ceiling that replaced an unattractive textured ceiling finish.
Coffered ceiling design styles range widely (modern, classic and traditional) and can include oval or elliptical coffers or shallow, “low-profile” coffers if the room needs a lighter touch.
